In case you didn’t know, we have a Facebook page – Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Outer Banks. If you’re a Facebook user, look it up at facebook.com/UUCOB and “like” our page. If you are not a Facebook user, Google “Facebook.com” and sign up. Every week we post our upcoming Sunday service, and other congregation and community events. A good way to get word out to others who may be interested is to “share” these weekly posts on your page.
How do I do that? you might ask. Here are the steps:
- Go to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Outer Banks Facebook Page.
- Find the latest entry, or anything else you would like to put on your page and look for the word “share” under the post.
- After you press “share” a box will come up asking if you want to share it on your page. It also gives you a chance to add something of your own at the top if you’d like.
- Press the “share status” button, and it will be posted to your Facebook page.
Another way to get the word out is to go to the UUCOB page and “invite” your friends, any you think may be interested, to “like” our page. As of this writing, there are 104 “likes” on our page. On the right side of the page, there is a “friend” area. Below that (if you have already liked the page) there will be a place that says “invite friends”. You can just click on the “see all” word and your friends list will come up. Press “invite” next to the person’s name you think may be interested.
